Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how we at CaseNiti handle the information you share with us when you use our website caseniti.com and the CaseNiti mobile application. We have tried to keep this document clear and straightforward so you know exactly what happens to your data and why. If you continue using our Platform, it means you agree to the terms mentioned here.
1. Information We Collect
We collect certain information so that the Platform works smoothly and can serve you better. This information generally falls into the following categories:
A. Information You Share With Us
1. Account & Profile Details
When you sign up, we ask for basic details such as your name, email ID, mobile number, and a password. You may also share your firm or organization details if you choose to.
2. Case-Related Material
Many users store case files, client details, notes, deadlines, and documents on CaseNiti. We apply encryption and other security safeguards to protect this information and treat it as confidential.
B. Information We Collect Automatically
1. Technical & Usage Information
Like most online services, we automatically capture certain information from your device. This includes things like:
- IP address
- Type of device and browser
- App version
- Pages you interact with
- Error logs, crash reports, and performance data
This helps us understand how the Platform is being used and what needs improvement. We may use analytics technologies that collect or reconstruct user interactions with the Platform to understand usage, diagnose issues, and improve our services.
Note: As a business-to-business organisation, we do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 18. Online registration and website usage is designed for adults who are professionally engaged in the businesses we serve.
2. Cookies & Similar Tools
We use essential cookies to keep your session active and to remember certain preferences. We may also use analytics cookies to understand usage patterns.
You can disable cookies from your browser settings, though some features may not function as intended.
C. Information From Other Sources
If you choose to connect third-party services—such as Google login, payment gateways, or court APIs where applicable—we may receive limited information required to complete those integrations.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
A. To Provide the Service
This includes managing your account, enabling case and file management, scheduling reminders, and improving search and organizational tools.
B. To Communicate With You
We may reach out with important updates, verification codes, or support responses. We don’t spam or send unnecessary messages.
C. To Improve CaseNiti
Usage patterns help us identify bugs, optimize performance, and introduce features that benefit you.
D. Legal & Safety Purposes
In rare situations, we may have to comply with legal requirements, protect user security, or prevent misuse of the Platform.
3. How We Keep Your Data Safe
Your trust means everything to us, so we put strong safeguards in place:
- Encryption for both stored data (AES-256) and data in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
- Access controls, ensuring only authorized personnel can reach certain systems.
- Secure and reputable hosting partners with strong compliance standards.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal or case information to anyone.
4. When We Share Information
We share data only when absolutely necessary, and always with confidentiality safeguards:
A. Trusted Service Providers
These include hosting platforms, SMS/email vendors, analytics partners, and payment processors. They only receive the data required to perform the service they provide.
B. Legal Requirements
If a court order, law enforcement request, or legal obligation compels us to share information, we will comply as required by law.
C. With Your Approval
If you request technical support that requires us to temporarily access your documents, we will proceed only after receiving your permission.
5. Payments and Subscriptions
If you buy a subscription, we receive your purchase history: which plan you bought, when, its renewal or expiry date, and the store's transaction ID.
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. We use RevenueCat, a subscription management service, to confirm your purchases and keep your plan up to date; it receives your purchase records and an account identifier, not your case data. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in Google Play or the App Store. Deleting your CaseNiti account does not cancel a subscription.
6. Your Choices & Rights
You may at any time:
- Review or update your account details
- Delete documents you've uploaded
- Ask us to delete your account entirely
- Opt out of non-essential communication
- Turn off cookies (via your browser)
For any such request, email us at support@caseniti.com.
7. Data Retention Policy
We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, most information gets permanently removed from our main systems. However, secure backups may continue to exist for a limited period for safety, audit, and legal reasons.
8. Data Storage & Transfers
Your data may be stored on servers located within or outside India. Regardless of location, all data is handled with the same level of protection described in this Policy.
9. Your Acceptance of these Terms
By using any aspect of CaseNiti and its subsidiaries and affiliates, products or services, you signify your acceptance of the terms of the CaseNiti Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use any of CaseNiti products and/or services and exit the CaseNiti website immediately.
10. The Inherent Risk in using the Internet
While we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information that you transmit to us and you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of any passwords or other account information.
11. External Websites
From time to time, our Platform may contain links to court portals or third-party platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites.
12. Changes to This Policy
If we update this Privacy Policy, we will reflect the changes here along with the updated date. Significant changes may also be communicated through email or in-app notifications.
